C, p. 87). Married to Anne Slamon in 1 January 1847. Died 1888 in Wexford.

However, there are no entries for a Murphy girl in the list.

Together with his husband and their her daughters, she emigrated to Argentina ‘in the "Robert Peele", and arrived in Buenos Aires in 1844. In Argentina, she married to James O’Neill. She died a widow on 2 February 1882 in Vedia’ (Coghlan 1987).

Settled in Merlo, Buenos Aires, in estancia ‘Los Leones’, Married again to Maria Mac Kiernan in November, 1853. In 1855, he settled in Nueve de Julio, in the estancia ‘San Francisco’, where he died in 4 February 1876. He left an estancia of two leagues, 13,000 sheep and 100 cattle head and horses. The Edificio Kavanagh, a landmark in Buenos Aires, is named after Cora Kavanagh (1890-1984), a grand daughter of James Kavanagh.

In addition to James Kavanagh, Coghlan says that 'Edward Cavanagh, son of John Cavanagh and Anne Byrne, arrived in Buenos Aires on Februray 9th, 1851 on the "William Peele"' (Coghlan 1987, p. 502). Edward Cavanagh (1834-1917) was the founder of a well-known dinasty of estancieros and world-class polo players in the Venado Tuerto area.
