Table II: Irish family names in Buenos Aires (city and province) from 1855 Census. Table III: Irish family names in Buenos Aires (city and province) from 1869 Census. Table IV: Irish family names in Argentina from 1895 Census. These tables are sorted geographically, but there is an alphabetic index of all Tables by Miguel A. Mathé Murray (page v). Page numbers of this source has been added to the Coghlan 1982 field of this database. Only persons with Birth Place (or Nationality) different than Argentina or Uruguay have been included in this list.

Table IV: Irish family names in Argentina from 1895 Census. These tables are sorted geographically, but there is an alphabetic index of all Tables elaborated by Miguel A. Mathé Murray (page v). Page numbers of this source has been added to the Coghlan 1982 field of this database. Only persons with Birth Place (or Nationality) different than Argentina or Uruguay have been included in this list.
2. CEMLA Database. Sources for this database include (i) ship manifests 1882-1887 transcribed by immigration officers, (ii) passenger lists 1888-1922, and (iii) standard immigration forms 1923-1929. All these records are contained in the files of 'Dirección General de Inmigración' in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Three different segments were used from CEMLA Database: a. CEMLA I: passenger list of the City of Dresden (arrived in Buenos Aires 15 February 1889), which was received in paper format, and transcribed to the database. Includes page numbers of the transcribed paper list (1,772 records). b. CEMLA II: passengers arrived in Buenos Aires 1882-1929, who declared Irish nationality. Includes record numbers of the original list (1,155 records). c. CEMLA III: passengers arrived in Buenos Aires 1882-1929, who declared English nationality and were born in Ireland. Includes record numbers of the original list (103 records).

Kenedy and Sons, 1919), and Registro de Marcas de Hacienda de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Parle, Estevan, Liverpool: Brown & Rawcliffe, 1885), as well as wills, church and civil records, family private documents and interviews.
